It's official

So, I got an email from Tessa about a week ago letting me know that the Adoption of Thane was official on September 3, 2009. She sent me a few pictures and I will share one of them here now.
My heart aches for Thane every day, but I know that he is in a much better place where he is getting everything he needs an more. Looking at all those beautiful smiling faces makes me know that all the pain I have been going through has been worth it for 5 wonderful people.
I just hope that one day I will wake up and won't automatically think about him.

It never happens... You will always think about him. It just the WAY you think about him will be different. It gets better, I promise!! He sure is an adorable baby boy though!!

Brenda you are so strong and I admire you for putting his needs in front of your own. I agree you will NEVER stop thinking of him, he will always be part of you and that is OKAY and if you didn't feel this way we'd all think something was wrong with you!! I love you and am so proud of you for the choices you've made, you truely have blessed their lives and Thane's in a very special way! We love you!

Isabelle was so excited that she got to be there - most excited that she had to dress up! You are blessed in knowing the McMurrians, and knowing that you get to see him grow up. Tessa asks about you every time I talk to her :-)

And now that I think of it, I think that might even be the judge that married Aaron and myself!

I think going through with your pregnancy and giving your baby up for adoption is the most selfless thing you can do, ever. So you are awesome!!

You will always remember him, but the day will come that you'll wake up thinking about your own children that you need to get out of bed and take care of ! And you'll be glad :)
